Edit Sony HDR-CX106E MTS in Pinnacle Studio 14 on Windows 7
I use Sony Handycam HDR-CX106E to make great videos of my vacation, and the CX106 full HD Flash memory camcorder captured videos in MTS format. I tried to edit the .mts files in Pinnacle Studio 14, but Pinnacle Studio 14 got problems importing mts files in projects.

Facing the problem importing AVCHD files in Pinnacle Studio, I googled and find Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter the best Sony AVCHD to Pinnacle Studio converter, which helped me convert HDR-CX106E MTS to MP4 before importing to Pinnacle Studio 14. To show you the solution to get through the problem editing AVCHD video in Pinnalce Studio, below are the simple steps of how to convert the CX106 MTS files to MP4 for editing in Pinnacle Studio on Windows 7.

Step 1. Transfer Sony CX106 MTS files to computer.
Connect Sony HDR-CX106E to computer via USB 2.0 cable, and it is easy to download videos from Sony CX106 camcorder to Windows 7 32-bit computer with the bundled Pictured Motion Browser (PMB). PMB also works with Windows Vista, and Windows XP. If you are running 64-bit version of Windows 7, just go direct the STREAM folder with .mts files from the Memory Stick Duo and copy the files to computer hard drive.

Step 2. Load Sony CX106 videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
Run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as the fast Sony CX106 AVCHD converter, which works on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 computer. Click the "Add" button to load the 1080i .mts videos. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the .mts files to the application UI to add videos.

Step 3. Choose HD MP4 format.
Click the "Format" option, and choose HD Video > H.264 HD Video(*.mp4) as output format. The Sony AVCHD converter will transcode HDR-CX106E MTS to MP4 for Pinnacle Studio 14 with Hi-def 1920x1080 video resolution.

Play Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 AVCHD Lite HD Movies on Computer

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 is the new HD camera in 2010 with two kinds of recording videos formats. The AVCHD camera can not only store videos in Motion JPEG compression in .mov format, but also saves the movies in AVCHD Lite .mts format. The DMC-ZS7 records longer videos with AVCHD Lite format than the conventional Motion JPEP format. What's more, the AVCHD Lite format is captured with 1280x720 in high definitions, and the Motion JPEG format is captured in standard definition 848x480, 640 x 480 or 320 x 240.

To enjoy the 720p HD videos on computer, we shall use the AVCHD Lite format instead of Motion JPEG. However, after transferring the AVCHD Lite .mts files from DMC-ZS7 to computer hard drive, you may find the HD videos do not play on Windows laptop. But MP4 format is compatible to most computers. It is recommended that you use Panasonic AVCHD Lite converter to transcode 720p MTS to 720p MP4 for playback on computer. Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter is the best Panasonic AVCHD Lite converter with fast conversion.
